Ti Glycine

Mooi huis. Prachtige ligging. Voldoende comfort. Vriendelijke gastheer en gastvrouw. Leuke omgeving om mooie plaatsen en dorpjes te ontdekken. Rustige ligging in de natuur maar toch winkels en dorpskern snel en gemakkelijk bereikbaar. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Heerlijke vakantie gehad. Heel mooie gite met meer dan genoeg ruimte voor ons (we waren met z'n tweeen, maar er hadden ook nog twee personen extra mee gekund). Mooie rustige omgeving. Heerlijke natuur en ondanks de extreme droogte toch nog mooi groen. Angela en Robert zijn heel aardig en hebben ons heel fijn ontvangen en te woord gestaan wanneer we vragen hadden over de omgeving of andere zaken.
Zeker een aanrader.

This vacation brought us more than we anticipated: a quiet, relaxing and green environment, Angela and Robert being friendly, lovely and perfect hosts, almost perfect weather (22C and sunny) and a homely gîte. From the first minute we felt right at home and, although we realised we were very fortunate to be there, we felt a bit sad and reluctant to leave after two weeks. We could have easily stayed for another month :-) (or may be even more).
At the gîte we enjoyed the sounds of all the birds in the morning, the nice garden, Angela and Robert's lovely cats, the chats with their best friend David, and the neighbour's chicken who came around every afternoon like clockwork to look for food (and expressing herself adamantly if we forgot to put her bowl outside). All these little things make great holiday memories.
In the first week we had some trouble with the wifi but Angela went the extra mile to solve it (which she did!) and we enjoyed the stories of Robert about the gîtes, the longhouse, the neighbourhood and all the work that was put into the longhouse and the garden, making it the little paradise that it is now.
We visited Vannes (40 minutes drive), Concarneau (1 hour drive), Port Louis and Carnac (both 25 minutes drive) from Melrand and loved every minute of it.
Angela even phoned a restaurant in Baud (Auberge du Cheval Blanc, recommended!) for us when we realised too late that May 8th is a national holiday and almost every restaurant in the area was fully booked.
So, what more can we say? The only complaint we have is that we aren there right now. We're definitely coming back because it ticked every box for us.
