Mooi huisje in een mooie en zeer rustige omgeving. Ben en Rebecca zijn hartelijk en behulpzaam en kunnen je veel tips geven over de omgeving.

Bezocht in augustus 2018

Me and my family had the best time over in Monein. It truly exceeded all expectations! First of all the scenery was astounding. Just driving up there was a delight.
The owners, Rebecca and Ben, were such nice people. The cottage was fully prepared for our visit. They even took the liberty to have some fresh French bread and a nice bottle of wine ready for us. Furthermore they already had done some groceries so, on our first day, all we had to do was kick back and relax. The gite was lovely decorated and nicely renovated. Everything you would expect from a 3 star accomodation and more! Plus there were more than enough brochures about what to do in the area. We stayed there for 3 weeks and we were feeling at home pretty soon. Every week we received fresh bedsheets and towels and Rebecca kept us up to date about the festivities in the surrounding villages.
The mountains were just a 40 minute drive away and the nearest city of Pau was a 30 minute drive, which my family really enjoyed. Make sure to visit one of the many caves or mountain lakes or drive up to Laruns (Train d'Artouste) for a beautiful train ride high up in the mountains. Ofcourse i don't have to mention that if you're a wine lover, you certainly will be very pleased to find that there are a lot of vineyards in the area.

This was a holiday me and my family won't forget anytime soon. Thank you Rebecca and Ben for being such wonderful hosts _/|\_
