Le cadre est magnifique, nous avons passé une semaine très reposante. Le gîte est très bien équipé et joliment décoré, nous étions 7 amis, barbecues et détente au bord de la piscine ! Très bon accueil, je recommande à 100%

We have just returned from a fantastic one week stay at Maison Du Lac and it did not disappoint! We found that the photographs did not do the property enough justice, it was beautifully presented, comfortable and immaculate throughout. Upon arrival we were greeted by Tracey who was very friendly and able to offer us information about local spots to visit and good restaurants etc. (Information also provided within a folder in the gite itself). Tracey was also conscious of our privacy which we really valued, but on hand to help when and if needed. The pool area and pool itself was tended to daily and was kept immaculate throughout our stay and the gates could be locked to prevent entry to ten water areas (lake and pool) which was extra peace of mind with a toddler! The kitchen was well equipped with all bbq tools and enough crockery, cutlery and utensils to cook meals for us all (group of 6) and all the provided appliances worked and were in clean and good order. We also took advantage of booking the local chef which is a MUST! Excellent food and so reasonable! We found that the gite was very well placed for exploring the nearby larger cities of Bordeaux and Bergerac but also for exploring some of the more rural villages. The setting of la maison du lac itself is just idyllic, the pool overlooking the lake is all private for you to enjoy and is so very peaceful. We enjoyed spotting wildlife and saw deer in the garden of a morning which was lovely. Would book again!!

Just home from a fantastic week staying in this beautiful property. The house is very rural and you def need a car. Tracey is so welcoming and friendly The accommodation is outstanding. Really pretty and so tastefully presented. The house is cool roomy and very clean. There were six adults in our group. Two couples using the en suite bedrooms and one couple using the main bedroom with the family bathroom. The oustside area is really pretty and caters for outdoor dining with all the necessary equipment and built in barbecue. Lovely seating areas and beautifully placed plants and decorative items which are so attractive. The pool looks over the to lake. The peace and quiet surrounding this place is so relaxing. Outdoor furniture includes reclining chairs, sun loungers and parasols. The men loved the fishing. Bring your own rods. Some days their catch was better than others but they spent every spare minute by the lake....the pool is a salt water pool and really cool for a dip in the very warm weather we were lucky to have. The house is situated in a very peaceful hamlet. The neighbours are all friendly. We visited 3 restaurants all were to an amazingly high standard and very friendly.
