It was an absolute treat to stay in James and Nick’s gîte. A self-contained barn restoration, with high ceilings and original beams and a great view of the patchwork of fields in the coombe it forms a part of. These slightly rolling hills are the typical geography of le Gers. Great to spend warm summer evenings watching the landscape change as nightfall approaches. The gîte is very comfortable and well-appointed with lots of space, off the beaten track with supermarkets 20- 30 minutes away and restaurants to try in many directions. There is a pool in the lovingly landscaped gardens, with loungers, tables and parasols to spend some time in the sun in the rural calm. We stayed a week and enjoyed our time there immensely. A great place to relax and discover the local area.

We are very happy you enjoyed your time in this peaceful corner of le Gers and that you were able to benefit from your time relaxing by the pool and visiting local villages, restaurants and the lake at Marciac. Great peaceful and quiet place for a relaxing time. Very friendly welcome by the owners. Lots of privacy, but help if needed. The house is authentic with a romantic flavour, but bathrooms and kitschen very modern and well equiped. The swimming pool is gorgeous, great view on the beautiful garden and the farmfields. The sunbed at the pool, under the parasol, is a fine place to do some reading.
As there is almost no traffic on the small roads between the small villages and farms, it is easy to do some walks starting from the house of 5 to 12 kilometer, and stumble upon a small church, a viewpoint at the Pyrenees or some small deer. We had a very good time!

hallo allemaal, we vonden het geweldig om je hier te hebben en waren zo blij dat je genoten hebt van dit prachtige gebied met zijn prachtige landschap en berglandschappen en dat het weer geweldig was, dus je kon goed gebruik maken van het zwembad - als je gelukkig was, waren we dat ook gelukkig! oh, en je BBQ-koken rook fantastisch! we zouden heel blij zijn je weer te zien en hopen dat je een goede reis naar huis hebt gehad.

We stayed for a couple of days in this wonderfull, comfortable gite while attending a wedding of dear friends.
The quiet location just outside the romantic village of Samaran, the warm evenings spend outside and refreshing dips in the more than gorgeous pool made our stay one we will never forget.
Besides attending the wedding we ventured out to eat in fabulous restaurants nearby and also spent much needed leisure time on the comfy couches with books and wine.
Our hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home, and so we will be back here whenever we visit our family in the beautifull Gers.
